We stayed in Ellendale for a month. Had several projects at Tori’s house to work on.

We stayed in Crystal Springs RV Park in Ellendale. Really nice RV park. Fairly close to Albert Lea where Tori lives.

Went to the Minneapolis Zoo. This was a working farm display. Really cool!

I don’t know how old this barn is but it was interesting too.

For about 4 or 5 days, we had these asian beetles attack our trailer. These little beggars, along with what the locals call no-see-ems, swarmed the whole park. They do this during sorgum harvest time. The beetles look like lady bugs but they are more aggressive. They will bite. The no-see-ems bite too. By the way, you can see them! We could not keep either of them out of the trailer. Just had to exterminate them as needed.

Museum of North Texas History

Museum of North Texas railroad display.

I love railroad lanterns.

This is one persons cowboy hat collection donated to the musem. Every hat is labeled with the owners name and town. There were a few i recognized.

People will by just about anything.

My brother had this! Hot Wheels.

This is our home in Canyon Lake RV Park. We were here last year, but in a different site. We have an Okie across the street from us. Good neighbors all around.

This orange tree is right behind our trailer. They said the oranges are not very good to eat but great for juice. The birds love them!

Crazy Horse Memorial. Couldn’t get any closer by foot. You could take a bus tour. I would have loved to hike to the monument!

Mount Rushmore

This is the entrance to Mount Rushmore. Wasn’t too crowded the day we were there.

Walking trail to the base of Mount Rushmore. If you walked one direction it was ~160 steps up and ~300 steps down. The other direction was reversed! It’s a loop. We chose the 160 steps up direction.

Rapid City Trolley Tour

Bunch of “old people” on the trolly tour. It was about 1.5 hour tour.

Chapel of the Hills. We have about 30 minutes to explore this area. Very interesting story.

This was a path with statues and points to ponder.

This was at the top of a hill by Rapid City. A very winding road up to the top. I don’t do well when riding in a vehicle. Get a little motion sick. Driving is no problem!
