Heading to Minnesota! – 7/8-7/12

Our first overnight stop on our way to Albert Lea, MN. The is El Dorado State Park in Kansas. I drive around +/- 200 miles/day. The fewer miles the better!

There were some really good walking trails at El Dorado!

We stopped overnight at Wallace State Park in Missouri. I forgot to take pictures. I didn’t realize there was no water hookup at each camp site. We filled our fresh water tank and used that for shower, toilet etc.. We always use bottled water for drinking. We learned the hard not to drink the local water.

Our last stop before arriving in Albert Lea. This was just off I-35 near Osceola, Iowa. We stopped here to visit some friends we met in South Texas. They are from Murray, Iowa. That is about 10 miles east of Osceola.
This is Donnie and Kris Carrico. They are both from the Murray area. We had a great dinner and visit with them in Osceola. I took this picture of them when we were in Palmhurst, TX at our winter home location!
